Studio Policies

Practice: All students are expected to meet required practice times for their level.
Recitals: Recitals are scheduled twice per year.
Tuition: Tuition ranges from $65 to $180 per month for weekly lessons. Lesson times range from 20 minutes to one hour, depending on student’s playing level and interest.
All fees are payable at the first lesson of the month.
Late fee: A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed if payment isn’t made on time.
Federation: Federation is an opportunity for students to play for a judge and receive a score based upon their performance. The event is held at Washington University and UMSL in April. Fees are $25.00 per student for solo events.
Activity fee: An annual activity fee of $25.00 will be assessed upon registration.This covers prizes and recital fees. All fees are non refundable.
Make-ups: Lessons will be made up with 24 hours notice prior to absence.
Summer lessons: Altman music studio is open year round. Students who take off for the whole summer will not be invited to return the following fall.
